Burning cataclysms of an impending parting
The truth fails when memory begets
A history too piquant to pretend amidst dissolution.
The twist of fate wounds anew
Across urbane enclaves and earthen pew
Of a lost and a found, of the hidden and the discovered.
That life goes on, despite our gravitas and warmth
A genius loci dependent on failed emotionality
For we are all temporal, to others, and to ourselves.
Changing. Shifting. A renaissance into recidivism.
And what remains is emotion. And thought.

and this 40-someting degree heat... ;)
@the geek Haha. I couldn't agree more. :D
Is it me or my mind's blank. I couldn't penetrate those words. I felt a sudden paralysis of interpretation :( i'm writing from d office eh. kakalokang stress... sana yung genius loci dito eh maging favorable naman sa akin. Hayss..
@~Carrie~ Paralysis is such a strong, expletive, word. My apologies for inducing it. Genius loci is latin, and loosely translated means 'sense of place.'
Ah. My perception of genius loci is general atmosphere, na medyo na-misconstrue ko as status quo. Thanks for the correction :) I didn't wanna give you the impression that you induced that paralysis. It just so happens I really couldn't read into the verses. :-(
Well, Happy weekend, red.
@~Carrie~ I'll try to be more approachable with my words next time. But your interpretation is also valid, I mean Latin is a dead language, and its translation doesn't lend easily to contemporary English. French maybe, or Greek, but not English. =)
Happy weekend as well.
