Narratives are revised,
to fit the new story.
Familiarity I realized,
is a choice and a query.
The melody maybe different,
the tone and timbre and rift.
But the song is persistent,
it's as if I never left.

Tama. As the song goes: "Tuloy pa rin ang awit ng buhay ko... handa na kong hamunin ang aking mundo, pagkat tuloy pa rin."
@~Carrie~ ...gumagawa ng hugis sa puso mo... Somehow things felt different, but vaguely familiar. Like déjà vu/promnesia. Back to square one. Except, hindi na siya square, rhomboid na. (Sorry, tunaw na ata utak ko)
Minsan, nakakapagod magsimulang muli, pero sa ibang tao, a new beginning is a fresh one, a clean slate. It's full of hope. For cynics, it's a tiring process. Sa yo rhomboid, sa akin, star. Hahaha!
@~Carrie~ It's not necessarily starting fresh. It's realizing you're back at the beginning. And nothing really changed.
in essence, some stories are of the same plot.
how we read them, how we understand them, those will make a difference.
the days are repeating all by themselves, we can almost predict the future. we rely on unusual interventions, to the butterfly-chaos effect. :(
@the geek And sometimes, the plot returns you to the same story.
@Alterjon But what would life be if foresight is absolute? Will it not drain the beauty of discovery? Sometimes, you only need to rediscover the same things, to realize that the story hasn't ended yet. Merely begun. :)
Perhaps, there is a greater value to be found in this state of recurrence and only then can one break free from the apparent monotony.
Though I believe that the latter is always a conscious choice.
It's funny how blog posts can mean different things to different people. I'm not sure if this is what you meant but for me, I was reminded of how many times, I've reworked unpublished posts to fit whatever it is I'm feeling at that exact moment. I may have written it with someone in mind but with a few changes in dialog and tone, it can be about someone completely different by the time I hit publish. lol
@mark Which begs the question, isn't recurrence another form of monotony? And isn't conceding to the reality of a humdrum existence also a conscious decision? Thanks for visiting.
@ʎonqʎʇıɔ Oh that happens a lot. I tend to be very anal when it comes to my posts, sometimes weeks would go by obsessing over multiple revisions. However, this particular one is totally in-the-moment. No precedents nor contexts. Just, well, a thought.
Well it's a lovely thought. I've missed my trips to this part of the cyberspace. :}
@ʎonqʎʇıɔ And your visits have been missed too. It is a lovely thought, although I didn't realize the meaning could mean so different to so many. In fact, my personal meaning is different too, from what's been mentioned here. Do visit once in a while. :)
